2009 Bundestag Election: Voter participation until 2 p.m. and provisional election result
WIESBADEN – In the election to the 17th German Bundestag on Sunday, 27 September 2009, the Federal Returning Officer will release the “current status of voter participation until 2 p.m.” in the afternoon and the official provisional election result on election night.
The “current status of voter participation until 2 p.m.” will be determined on the basis of voter participation in selected polling stations. The result is expected to be available and to be published by the Federal Returning Officer around 3.30 p.m.
Forecasting results released by electoral research institutes after 6 p.m. on election day, but before the official provisional election result has been released, are based on evaluations of exit polls and on results of the public counting of votes in individual polling stations.
