27 parties with Land lists for the 2009 Bundestag election
WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Returning Officer, the Federal Electoral Committee dealt with appeals against the rejection of four Land lists on 6 August 2009. In detail, the appeals were filed against the rejection of the Land lists of the following associations:
– Partei für Arbeit, Rechtsstaat, Tierschutz, Elitenförderung und basisdemokratische Initiative (Die PARTEI) in Hamburg,
– DIE GRAUEN – Generationspartei (DIE GRAUEN) in Berlin,
– BPA-Die Bürgerpartei für „ALLE“ (BPA) in Nordrhein-Westfalen,
– Freie Union (keine Kurzbezeichnung) in Bayern.
All appeals were rejected; to that extent, the decisions of the Land electoral committees of 31 July 2009 were confirmed.
Based on the decisions of the 16 Land electoral committees and today’s decisions on appeals of the Federal Electoral Committee, it is now clear that the following parties will participate with Land lists in the election to the 17th German Bundestag on 27 September 2009:

7. DVU DEUTSCHE VOLKSUNION
8. NPD Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands
9. FAMILIE Familien-Partei Deutschlands
10. DIE VIOLETTEN Die Violetten; für spirituelle Politik
11. CM CHRISTLICHE MITTE – Für ein Deutschland nach GOTTES Geboten
12. PBC Partei Bibeltreuer Christen
13. BP Bayernpartei
14. PIRATEN Piratenpartei Deutschland
15. ödp Ökologisch-Demokratische Partei

The SPD, FDP, DIE LINKE, GRÜNE, NPD and MLPD are represented with Land lists in all 16 Länder, the CDU in all Länder with the exception of Bayern, the CSU only in Bayern and the PIRATEN in all Länder except for Sachsen.
Detailed information on the order in which the parties with their Land lists will be listed on the ballot papers of the individual Länder will be provided in another press release of the Federal Returning Officer on 10 August 2009.
Approved lists of candidates will be shown on the ballot papers even if a party should declare that it intends to withdraw its participation in the election.
