Detailed results of the 2009 Bundestag Election 

WIESBADEN - The Federal Returning Officer published the official final result of the 2009 Bundestag Election on 14 October 2009. In number 11/2009 of the periodical Wirtschaft und Statistik (Economy and Statistics) issued by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), an article has been published which contains detailed information on the candidates and lists of candidates admitted, the number of persons entitled to vote, voter turnout, valid and invalid first and second votes, and votes cast in a breakdown by parties. It also gives an overview of the persons elected in the constituencies and the distribution of seats according to the Sainte-Laguë/Schepers calculation method, which was used for the first time in a Bundestag election.

At the same address, the final results of the 2009 Bundestag Election are shown for the Federation, the Länder and the 299 constituencies; they are also contained in issue no. 3 on the election to the 17th German Bundestag (Endgültige Ergebnisse nach Wahlkreisen – Final results by constituencies) of the Federal Statistical Office.
