New Internet presence of the Federal Returning Officer
WIESBADEN – The Internet presence of the Federal Returning Officer was completely revised and updated. It went live on 12 November under the former address
On time for the 2009 European and Bundestag Elections, there now is an extensive Internet presence offering all information of the Federal Returning Officer subdivided into the following areas: information for the press, elections to the German Bundestag and to the European Parliament with the results and legal bases, elections to the Länder parliaments, future election dates, political parties (with the Federal Returning Officer’s collection of material and information on election participation), a glossary, a collection of links relevant to the subject of elections, contacts und a form for ordering the publications of the Federal Returning Officer.
The information offered has been extended considerably and now includes the results of all Bundestag and European elections, and more comprehensive data material of the representative election statistics ready to be processed directly. The navigation has been modified to be more user-friendly. All pages are provided in German and in English, and the user can switch directly to the other language on every webpage. There is a detailed glossary explaining the technical terms in the field of elections.
