Announcement of the “intermediate result for voter turnout“ with EU ambassadors
WIESBADEN/BERLIN – On the occasion of the European election on 7 June 2009, the Federal Returning Officer Roderich Egeler is going to announce the “intermediate result for the voter turnout by 2 p.m.” in the Berlin Reichstag building around 3.30 p.m. The announcement will be made in the presentation area of the Federal Returning Officer in the German Bundestag located in the West Lobby at Plenary Chamber level.
Numerous ambassadors and diplomats from EU member states will also be present at the event. The following diplomatic missions have confirmed their attendance so far: France, Austria, Romania, Sweden, Czech Republic and Hungary. The Federal Returning Officer is pleased to invite the ambassadors and diplomats to a small reception afterwards.
The media are very welcome to attend both the announcement of the intermediate result for the voter turnout and the ensuing reception for the ambassadors and diplomats.

IMPORTANT: As a rule, representatives of the media require an accreditation in order to work in the buildings of the German Bundestag. For persons who have not been accredited on a permanent basis, an accreditation for 7 to 8 June 2009 may be issued by the Press Office of the German Bundestag. As the staff responsible for accreditation will not be on duty on election day, interested representatives of the media must have collected their accreditation by 5 June 2009, 1 p.m. at the latest (at Schiffbauerdamm 17, 3rd floor).
