2009 European Elections: Voting without notification card
WIESBADEN – The Federal Returning Officer points to the fact that persons entitled to vote who have misplaced or lost their notification card can nevertheless cast their vote in the European Elections on 7 June 2009. However, this requires that the person entitled to vote is registered in the electoral roll of his/her polling district. Upon inquiry, the local authority will inform the person entitled to vote about his/her relevant polling district. If requested by the electoral board, persons entitled to vote will have to prove their identity at the polling station by showing their identity card, passport or driving licence.
