2009 European Election: 2nd meeting of the Federal Electoral Committee to be held on 30 June 2009

WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Returning Officer, the second meeting of the Federal Electoral Committee on the European election of 7 June 2009 will be held in Berlin on Tuesday, 30 June 2009. At that meeting, the Federal Electoral Committee will establish the final result of the 7th Election of the Members of the European Parliament from the Federal Republic of Germany (Section 18 (4) of the European Elections Act in conjunction with Section 71 of the European Electoral Regulations). The meeting, which will be open to the public, will be held in the German Bundestag building, Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus (entrance Adele-Schreiber-Krieger-Str. 1), room 3.101 (Anhörungssaal) and start at 11 a.m.


Important notes:
Those interested in observing the meeting will have to pass security checks before entering the Bundestag buildings and show their identity cards. Unless they are permanently accredited with the Bundestag, media representatives will have to seek prior accreditation with the Press Office of the German Bundestag:
