Exercising the right to vote

Only such persons as are entered in a voters’ register or have a polling card may vote. Anyone entered in a voters’ register who does not have a polling card may only vote in the polling district of the voters’ register in which he or she is entered.

Anyone possessing a polling card may vote in Bundestag elections in the constituency where the polling card was issued and in European elections in the district orurban districtwhere the polling card was issued,

Each person entitled to vote may vote only once and must do so personally.
