Candidate without party affiliation

A candidate without party affiliation may:

  1. run as an individual candidate in Bundestag elections on the basis of a constituency nomination without being supported by a party,
     
  2. stand as a party candidate in Bundestag elections on the basis of a constituency nomination without being a member of a party,
     
  3. or run as a party candidate for a Land list in Bundestag and European elections without being a member of a party.

Bundestag election: Sections 20 (3), 21 (1), 27 (5) of the Federal Elections Act (BWG)
European election: Section 10 of the European Elections Act (EuWG)
