Order of nominations on the ballot paper
At
Bundestag elections
- The order of the Land lists of parties on the ballot paper shall be determined by the number of
second votes which each obtained in the last election to the Bundestag in the Land concerned.
- The remainder of the Land lists shall follow in the alphabetical order of the names of the
parties.
- The order of the constituency nominations shall be determined by the order of the
corresponding Land lists.
- Other district nominations shall follow in the alphabetical order of the party names or of
their short forms.

At
European elections
- The order of the nominations on the ballot papers in each Land shall be determined by the
number of votes which each party or other political association obtained with its nomination in the
last European election in the Land concerned.
- The remaining nominations shall follow in the alphabetical order of the names of the parties
entitled to submit nominations.
