Persons eligible to vote will receive voter’s notification by 1 September 2013

WIESBADEN – All persons entitled to vote who have been entered in the voters’ register will receive a voter’s notification from their municipal authorities by 1 September 2013 at the latest. The Federal Returning Officer also reports that the voters’ register for the 2013 Bundestag Election includes all persons eligible to vote whose main place of residence was registered at the registration office of the respective municipality on 18 August 2013, that is on the 35th day before the election. The voter’s notification will also indicate the polling station where voters may cast their votes on 22 September 2013.

Between 2 and 6 September 2013, the municipal authorities will make their voters’ registers available for inspection by eligible voters during their normal opening hours.
