2017 Bundestag Election: send postal ballot letter now!

WIESBADEN – Postal ballot letters containing the completed ballot papers for the 2017 Bundestag Election must have been received by the competent authority on election day, 24 September 2017, by 6 p.m. at the latest. The Federal Returning Officer also informs that only then will these votes be considered in the Bundestag election.

The Federal Returning Officer recommends that all postal voters who have not yet completed and sent their postal ballot documents should post their ballot letters soon, either today or tomorrow. It is also possible to hand in the postal ballot letter in time at the address indicated on the official return envelope.

Every postal voter has to make sure that the postal ballot letter arrives in time at the electoral office. If a ballot letter is received too late, the vote will not be counted in the Bundestag election.
