2019 European Election: voting without voter’s notification

WIESBADEN – Persons who are entitled to vote but have misplaced or lost their voter’s notification may nevertheless cast their vote in the European election in Germany on 26 May 2019. According to the Federal Returning Officer, voters have to be on the voters’ register of their polling district to do so. This is the case if you have received a voter’s notification. Upon request, the local authority will let voters know at which polling station they can cast their votes. At the polling station, they will have to present their identity card or passport if the electoral board asks for it, and Union citizens their national identity card.
